“The greatest carver does the least cutting" - Lao Tzu
Intro
My name is Eric, I help the top pro-athlete and founders to move to the top 0.1% in their field, through getting out of their own way by reaching a state that fully stills that voice in their heads. The journey we will take will go way beyond the usual suggested ways of meditation, yoga and mindfulness. The end results we want is a state where when we shoot, pass or dribble the ball or something as mundane as when we tie our shoes, there is no mind in the way nor any thinking involved.
In addition to personal advisory to high performers, I also offer advisory to a small group of high growth startups. If you'd like to learn more, then please reach out if you're interested.

Me in 30 seconds
My site is simple, just some HTML on a page. I like to break things down to the essentials at a personal, professional, mental and spiritual level. In the past, I've been an executive in tech, and a 2X national archery champion, a top youth basketball player in Germany as well as a yoga and meditation teacher, the latter are skills I've learned from spending a significant time in India where I learned at the feet of Yogis at the foothills of the Himalayas, spending time meditating in caves and so on.
Along the way of my tech career I've built, tanked (2x) and helped exit multiple companies (4 exits). I learned how to negotiate high compensation packages (7-figures+) at the VP level, grown small and large public companies by 10X year-over-year and raise funding rounds for series A to D+ startups north of $100m.
What matters here is that some of this journey happened through sheer hard work, effort, determination, force and anger, but the best parts happened without any of that, they happened gracefully, non-forcing, effortless, flowing, getting out of my own way.
What am I doing now?
I'm a dad of 2, we just had our second one and I advise a few high-growth startups as well as a few handful of young leaders as well as experienced founders on product strategy, growth and experiencing a state, where the mind stopped talking and effortless execution falls into place.
If you want to learn more about reaching a state of no-thought and are a pro-athlete or founder, email me: coach@chopwoodcarrywater.org
I'm also slowly starting to look at what's my next 10-year mountain to climb and carefully looking at a few companies to join where I see the potential that they can not just grow significantly, but much more important leave a positive imprint on society at large. In other words, companies that allow us to experience more of the moment and less of the feed.
